Fall is the time of Harvest
“The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.” –Psalm 85:12
Fall is a wonderful time of year, I love the mild weather, colorful leaves, and the many activities in our churches, and communities.
The changing of the seasons means that fall can be a time to recognize that all we have is a gift from God providing what we need, when we need it and not due to our own efforts.
That’s why I like the Psalm noted above. It helps remind me that God gives. And God’s gifts are good. And the promise that the harvest we really need will come.
This fall we need to recognize how God has once again provided for us, to give thanks to Him and to share with others.
We look forward to Thanksgiving – which is the opportunity to celebrate God’s goodness and share His blessings with our family and friends.
Each of us is blessed with a harvest this fall. Whether it be a physical harvest, a spiritual harvest of seeing God more clearly, or some other form. God has once again indeed given us His Grace.
This fall, let’s rejoice and share generously in the harvest that God brings to our lives, and remember that everything we have is a gift from God!
Yours In Christ
